My Marathon Week - NSBE Conference, Speaking Engagement at Wesleyan & Event with UN & A Wedding!

Just touched down at the National Society of Black Engineers Region 1 conference in Parsippany! As some of you know, I am the Alumni Chair-Elect for Region 1, which means that I will be the Chair next year. I had a busy week up until now preparing for my workshop for high school attendees, as well as my speech to the graduating seniors welcoming them to Alumni membership!

I also had a super busy week re-stocking and blogging after this weekend's beautiful wedding between Richard Akobi and Ashiat Pelemo in Long Island! We were so blessed to be a part of this, and definitely be sure to check out our blog for decor shots from the wedding!

Next up, later this evening I'll be working on the 4th Annual Friends of Africa Benefit Gala for the United Nations Association of Young Professionals in NYC. I worked with them on their gala last year, and I'm so excited that they've enlisted Statuesque Events' services again! Click on the flyer for more information!

Last, but not least, I was super honored to be asked to deliver the keynote at Wesleyan University this Sunday for "Ariya" an annual culture show held there. When I first got the request, I was a little bit surprised that they thought of me, but I'm super pumped about getting in there and meeting these bright young students!

Needless to say, I am sooooo looking forward to Thanksgiving next week when I can just sit around and eat! So honored to have all of these opportunities, and I will keep you posted on how they all go in a future post! Stay tuned :)
