I've always felt that there are only 2 places to be on an issue: part of the solution or part of the problem. Talking about a problem doesn't solve it, and its a better use of your energy, frustration and time to be a part of the change that you want. So ladies and gents, if you haven't voted yet, get out there and do it! Yea, its cold outside, you may not feel like standing in line and then of course if you're in my beloved NY or NJ in this crisis, you may just not feel like burning your gas to get to a polling station, which I honestly understand. But what's worse is waking up everyday for the next 4 years angry about the outcome, and knowing you didn't even fight for it. I'll admit, I didn't vote during the last midterm elections, and I had no good excuse. I just was going about my life, and felt that things were OK already since Pres. Obama was commander in chief......obviously a lot of people did the same as me, and the results weren't the best. So lets make it count this time!
And of course I could not write this whole post without endorsing my main man, Mr President Obama! This weekend, I stood in the cold for 4.5 hours (yes, it was brutal) on line with my girlfriend Vanessa, because I was so determined to hear him and Clinton speak in person, and it was so worth it!
The man has done so much, and the media makes it all seem like nothing, its crazy, but I really hope that everyone's been doing their own research and getting their own understanding of what's going on instead of just believing any catch-phrase that's thrown out. I even saw a sign this weekend that said "We built it. You broke it. You're fired!".........my main question there is what is "it?" sure can't be the economy, but unfortunately, some people just look at their pockets, these ads and forget the history of how we got there *shakes head* in any case, in case you forgot, I got you covered with a high level overview of Pres. Obama's successes.... enjoy!
Click HERE for reasons 3-12! Its's a great read and be sure to share!
Some pics from the rally (it was packed so I couldn't get too close) And a few exerpts from Pres. Clinton and Pres. Obama's speeches below!
To get the rest of the goodies from the rally, you're gonna have to check out YouTube! It was great, and I'm sure the rallies in other states were as well. So you know who I voted for.... and if you haven't already, be sure to make your voice known too! Its your right!, and you still have a few hours to do so!
